Every piece at Design Alchemy is handcrafted, with no two pieces ever alike. Each piece undergoes a series of casting, filing, welding and patina which results into the final finish. The variations in texture and colour are inherent to the handmade process and enhance the beauty of this piece.

Maintenance
Products can be sent back to us for restoration, the shipping and restoration costs for which are to be borne by the customer. Also, the products are not lacquered by default to preserve the feel of the metal, message us if you’d like your product to be lacquered.
Lacqured Products
- Most polished products ship with a clear coat of oven baked lacquer
- The life of the lacquer is about 6 months in coastal areas and about 2 years or more in dry areas.
- To clean your lacquered decorative Brass/ Bronze products wipe clean with a moist soft cloth
- Do not scrub your lacquered copper products or use any kind of detergents on it
- Brass/ Bronze oxidizes on exposure to the atmosphere. The lacquer coat on your product merely retards the oxidation process
- In time, however, your lacquered products will darken and the Brass/ Bronze will begin to acquire a patina as it ages<li>
Non-lacquered Products
- If used to store water, replace the water every 12 hours. Wipe dry after use
- Patinated pieces can be waxed every 2-3 months to keep them looking fresh, no abrasives or chemicals to be applied
- Do not use the piece to store any liquid apart from water as it is unsafe to expose copper based metals to food acids
- Brasso or similar alternatives can be used to restore exposed Brass/ Bronze finishes on the pieces
